Working with Alan Scofield and his lovely wife, Sharon, was nothing short of magical! They came to us with their idea for a children’s story podcast and we transformed it into star-filled storyland set above the clouds. Sharon and Alan wanted something enchanting and engaging for young eyes, but still functional and informative for their parents and we accomplished this with subtly twinkling heavens amidst whimsical font and colors with an easy-to-navigate structure.
The Scofields wanted to have a simple player to encourage on-site playing of their podcast, as well as primary calls to action for download via iTunes and subscription via RSS. We used the PodPress plug-in for Wordpress, styled to match, along with a handful of other plugins to accomplish various features on their site.
Once upon a time there were two innocent people who had this vague idea of an website that would host a magical and inspiring storytelling podcast for children. But they knew very little about the “guts” of a podacsting website. How would it operate? What would they need to consider? How could it be designed? What did they want it to accomplish?
As the sound of their heads beating against walls echoed throughout Northern California, Joelle cracked a seasoned smile, sipped a metaphorical martini and soothed their ears with expert knowledge EVERY TIME THEY ASKED. No question or line of questioning was ever disregarded or unexplored. Thorough? Shall we talk thorough? The woman invented thorough (you’ll see...) And by the end they had found an obi-wan mentor to rely on forever, plus they had the coolest website in the enchantment neighborhood of the web. Moral: Highest recommendation to those who want their dreams to be turned into reality by someone who is a dream to work with, for real!
