Sarah Wendell, the co-author/editor for Smart Bitches Trashy Books (another of our projects), came back to us seeking a design for her personal site that would compliment the Smart Bitches website, but would focus more on her professional career.  With the release of their new book, Beyond Heaving Bosoms: The Smart Bitches Guide to Romance Novels, it was important that Sarah herself have an additional web presence for speaking engagements, book signings, workshops and other projects she works on independently.

We decided to include the Smart Bitches logo image within the design for fan recognition, and borrowed the palette, but focused more on the cobalt blue color, as that is Sarah’s favorite. Including sections for her bio and workshops, along with press for their book and/or website. The A/V Studio will feature extras like spoof videos, deleted scenes and other goodies not found in the mainstream book section of the site.

The site features custom optional sidebar programming and widget creation. Random retro imagery changes from page to page on refresh, each captioned by Smart Bitches readers or Sarah herself.
