Tiffany was looking for a clean, yet somewhat natural look for her new eco-style, “green mom” community, Mommy Goes Green. She initially had another developer building the site in another platform, but wished for the design to have that Moxie flair! After a phone consultation and a few emails, we decided to go with a clean, classic garden look.  Advertising placement was a priority, so we wanted to bear in mind the ‘noise’ advertising can add to a website and kept colors muted, but fresh. The design also needed to contain flexible elements so she could use the one-page template desired in multiple areas, including a forum.

The client provided a logo from another designer with some colors that she liked and we refined both for the web. Using the basic illustration of the original logo, we changed up the text from a straight horizontal line beneath the graphic to the vibrant cerulean arch above that it is now. We also pumped up the greens and even the brown a bit and then mirrored the bird element throughout the design, incorporating in other icons in the same vein. Tiffany was initially provided a 2-template HTML markup and CSS with her design project, but decided to go ahead and have us create the community and blog for her in Wordpress. 

Using WP-Forums in conjunction with Wordpress, along with customize dashboard and login branding, we quickly were able to get her site up and running.  If you’re seeking a place to discuss the “green life”, check out Mommy Goes Green!
