Each website is unique.  What may seem like “just a blog” can be much more involved than one might think.  You may use this pricing guide as a starting point, but additions of forums, forms, membership profiles, extra pages, event calendars, podcasts, directories and a multitude of other options creates a bigger project and thus, more work and consultation.

Small business websites, while they may include a blog, are definitely more involved.  Community and magazine-style websites, that involve forums, member profiles, social media interfaces and more… you can expect those to be more elaborate projects and require even more expertise. Rarely is a project “just a blog”. Please keep this in mind when estimating your budget for your project.

Depending on the availability of your designer, we can work with a modest budget. You might not be able to get everything on your website wishlist, but we can certainly try to work within your budgetary restrictions. If we cannot, we’ll tell you straight away. We’re not here to yank your charitable chain.

There is, but it’s minimal.  Every company has costs of doing business and most companies roll those costs (usually inflated) into their prices so the buyer is never aware of them.  So, even if you pay by check, you’d still be paying for the cost of the company’s credit card processing.

We could roll it into business costs, but that would increase the project estimates.  Rather than pick a hearty flat rate, we feel it’s more fair to let those fees be based on the project itself.  It’s not fair for you to pay a higher rate processing rate if your project is smaller or someone with a gigantic project to pay less when they might have a significantly higher estimate… and vice versa.  In any case, it’s a cost of doing business that would manifest itself in your invoice one way or another — we’re just up front about it.  You always have the option of paying by check for free.
