We would love to accept every request for assistance that comes our way… we’re helpful girls like that. If our schedules permit, we’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but we are usually booked with new design projects and/or maintenance for our existing clients. There are often talented and knowledgeable support staff provided by both your hosting provider and your content management/blog platform developers. They know their stuff and they work hard for the money. So hard for it, honey.
But, if you’re into DIY, your blog platform/content management system will usually provide documentation and community support forums on their websites. You may find some resourceful links in our sidebar and we also recommend the talented programming services of Media Girl. They’re the cat’s pajamas.
Why yes, there is! Our Pro Blog Package may be right up your alley! A professional blog is any blog that is authored by someone who considers themselves a professional blogger and/or any blog that’s intent is to generate significant income in some capacity, either via self-promotion, sponsorship or advertising. A professional blog generally showcases the blog as the primary focal point of the site. Our Pro Blog Package includes all the goodies from the Personal Package, but also bundles in extra pages and features specific to those blogging for income or promotion. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a Pro Blog.
If you were expecting magic or fairy dust, we don’t blame you, but we’re sorry to disappoint.
We’re old friends with the Adobe Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop and Illustrator, our two main tools.
For development of HTML and CSS, once in a while, one of us will bust out an old basic text editor like Homesite, but most of the time we write our markup with plain ol’ Notepad. Neither of us uses Dreamweaver, Frontpage or anything like that. In fact, we avoid them at all costs. It just bloats the code like bad PMS. We like to keep it simple.
To manage the content on our websites, we use a variety of blog platforms, content management and services, but our favorites are Wordpress and Expression Engine.
For hosting, we like HostMonster and Hosting Matters, but there are others listed in the FAQ sidebar that you might prefer.
That’s about it!
