KathydidanAMAZINGjobonmysite.Yourock,Kathy!

Kathy did an AMAZING job on my site.  When I started the process I wasn’t able to be very specific about what I wanted: something with blue tones.  When I got her mock up, the first thing I said was, “Its so pretty!”  Somehow she managed to take my vague statements and turn them into something wonderful.  I would definitely recommend Moxie [Design Studios] for all your site needs!  You rock, Kathy!

ThanksagainJoelle(andKathy!)forturningmydreamintoareality.

If you’re looking for a fully functional Web 2.0 site with all the bells ‘n whistles (i.e. CMS, email newsletter sign-up and archives, interactive blogging tools and kick-ass design), look not further than Moxie Design Studios!

I approached Joelle Reeder about overhauling FashionJunkie back in October 2006 after interviewing dozens of developers and immediately knew that Moxie Design Studios was the perfect match. Joelle understood my vision for FashionJunkie from day one - a bold, fun and fashionable site for “serial shoppers.” Instead of shrugging me off like other developers I’ve worked with in the past, Joelle held my hand every step of the way. In fact, she still makes herself available should something go awry (don’t worry, it’ been over a year since the re-launch and nothing major has happened yet!).

Thanks to Joelle’s sharp eye and unparalleled industry knowledge (trust me, the Moxie Girls are connected!), FashionJunkie.com has become a sought after fashion and beauty destination. When I’m ready to take FashionJunkie to the next level, you’d better believe I’ll be calling the Moxie Girls! That is… if they’re available. wink

Thanks again Joelle (and Kathy!) for turning my dream into a reality.

HearTheMoxieGirlsonTheDerekandRomaineShow!

In December 2007, we were interviewed on Sirius Satellite Radio program, The Derek and Romaine Show.  Romaine was off that night, but we were honored to be joined by the fabulous Hedda Lettuce in her stead.  That was a very fun interview, dishing about blogging, Britney and our potential next book. wink

KathyScoleriInterviewedforStyleContestbySixApart

In Summer 2006, Kathy and Joelle were asked to participate as judges in a style contest for Movable Type, Live Journal and Typepad by the folks at Six Apart.  Each had a separate interview. It was a great experience and we enjoyed getting a chance to check out some of the amazing talent out there.  We were honored to be asked, so thanks, Six Apart!

The Moxie Girls Interviewed by AlphaWomen.com

AlphaWomenInterviewTheMoxieGirls!

We had the pleasure of being interviewed by Meghanne of AlphaWomen.com.  In a bit of a silly after-work happy hour, Kathy and I happily answered her questions both honestly and humorously, if not a little candidly.  Thanks for the interview, Meghanne and Alpha Women!

Moral:Highestrecommendationtothosewhowanttheirdreamstobeturnedintorealitybysomeonewhoisadreamtoworkwith,forreal!

Once upon a time there were two innocent people who had this vague idea of an website that would host a magical and inspiring storytelling podcast for children. But they knew very little about the “guts” of a podacsting website. How would it operate? What would they need to consider? How could it be designed? What did they want it to accomplish?

As the sound of their heads beating against walls echoed throughout Northern California, Joelle cracked a seasoned smile, sipped a metaphorical martini and soothed their ears with expert knowledge EVERY TIME THEY ASKED. No question or line of questioning was ever disregarded or unexplored. Thorough? Shall we talk thorough? The woman invented thorough (you’ll see…) And by the end they had found an obi-wan mentor to rely on forever, plus they had the coolest website in the enchantment neighborhood of the web. Moral: Highest recommendation to those who want their dreams to be turned into reality by someone who is a dream to work with, for real!

If I had to pick
a set of words to describe
our new design? Oy.

They would barely fit
in this abbreviated
yet deft format.

Words like: “HOLY CRAP.”
And “HOLY TOASTING FLAPJACKS.”
And my own favorite?

Dumbfounded silence.
It’s so awesomely gorgeous,
It makes us shut up.

Wait, you need serious testimonial? We Smart Bitches are not known for keeping our traps shut, but Joelle’s design skillz, her database beating-down skillz, and her professional yet friendly manner made redesigning our site a truly damntastically awesome experience. We count ourselves very fortunate to be a Moxie [Design Studios] client, and recommend them to anyone who asks, ‘Hey, what happened to your site? It looks GREAT!’

ItwasapleasureworkingwithJoelleandIwillnevergoanywhereelseformywebdesignneeds.

After four years of blogging, I decided it was time to get serious about promoting my writing — which meant I needed a professional, put-together look.  I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted for my new website, but I knew who I wanted to design it — Joelle Reeder.  I have admired the quality work of Moxie Design Studios for several years and I knew if anyone could take my vague ideas and give me the look I wanted for my site, it would be Joelle.  She worked with me to create exactly what I wanted in a website — something fun, friendly and feminine — and pink!  It was a pleasure working with Joelle and I will never go anywhere else for my web design needs.

Ifyou’reinthemarketforablogwithattitude,Ihopeyou’lllookuptheMoxieGirls.

It’s amazing what a difference it makes hiring a couple of American chicks who know what they’re doing. My last website was nothing but aggro but this time it has been smooth sailing. So, if you’re in the market for a blog with attitude, I hope you’ll look up the Moxie Girls.
