It’s amazing what a difference it makes hiring a couple of American chicks who know what they’re doing. My last website was nothing but aggro but this time it has been smooth sailing. So, if you’re in the market for a blog with attitude, I hope you’ll look up the Moxie Girls.

Joelle was able to take my ideas about a site for investing for women and transform them into something cool, creative and effective. I’m amazed at her playful inventiveness and her ability to translate ideas into visual form. She’s a great designer! I can’t wait until the site goes live. I have to create some great content to live up to the design.

In Summer 2006, Kathy and Joelle were asked to participate as judges in a style contest for Movable Type, Live Journal and Typepad by the folks at Six Apart.  Each had a separate interview.  It was a great experience and we enjoyed getting a chance to check out some of the amazing talent out there.  We were honored to be asked, so thanks, Six Apart!

[Fairy Fuzz] was the first Moxie-influenced web site I ran across. I could not get the design out of my head - it spoke volumes in the graphic and supported the title of the blog like no other I had ever seen. I had not even considered a new design for my web site until that day and had no idea what to expect. I also had no idea what I wanted, only that I would recognize it when I saw it. After 2 short emails with Joelle, she showed me a composite design that I knew was perfect. I was so impressed I started talking to her about a second skin before the first was completely implemented!

I got in the queue at a very busy time and when my turn in line came up (far sooner expected, as I knew they were swamped), I had absolutely no idea what kind of design I wanted for my site.  I can see how that would be frustrating for a designer, but she was very patient with me, asking me a few questions about colours, features, etc. I literally gave the girl next to no information at all and she pulled two of the most beautiful skins ever (yes, I’m biased) out of the air.I knew going in that I would have a good experience with [The Moxie Girls].  However, Joelle went above and beyond and I’m incredibly impressed with her professionalism!  I would recommend Moxie [Design Studios] to anyone who is looking for an impeccable, original design delivered with class and grace. She made sure I was thrilled with every last detail and I still get a big kick out of looking at my skins!

Where to begin? First of all, Joelle created two gorgeous designs from my vague wafflings and some images I sent her. I’m in raptures over their gorgeousness. There were a few hiccups along the way, but the girls were gracious, polite and helpful at every step. This is the beginning of a long and beautiful relationship. Viva la Moxie! 

I gave Joelle a very challenging assignment: “come up with a design that simultaneously was more serious than my ‘fun’ blog, but had some life and fun to it.  Gravitas, but with Sparkle. She did a marvelous job, and managed to create a distinct, professional look — all the while ensuring it would not be boring.  I heartily recommend their services, and cannot say enough about how thrilled I am with their work.

Who else would a radio show called “ChickChat Radio” pick for help with their website?  The chicks at Moxie Design [Studios] rock!  Even through some new and different audio needs, they stuck with us with professionalism and a sense of humor.  For both look and functionality, they just “get it.”

Joelle, I’m stunned. It’s gorgeous. And so much detail!!! You really outdid yourself this time. I’ve always told people they should come to you for great designs, but you also provide over-the-top service and obviously care as much as your clients do about having a fantastic site with all the latest bells and whistles. Ah, hell, just put a big ole ad for yourself in place of my masthead. Knock yourself out.
