I never thought I could love anything more than my hubbie and my daughter. My new website has challenged that belief. I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!
Joelle was amazing to work with. I never felt like I was bugging her with requests - she was always cool and pleasant. Her creativity is astounding - I’m still surprised at how she was able to completely capture the feel of my business from across the country. Yeah Moxie!

We had the pleasure of being interviewed by Angie, editor of BlogCoach.org this week. They’re also having a book giveaway: one free copy of our book, The IT Girl’s Guide to Blogging with Moxie (and a cocktail shaker, too!). Simply read the interview, then join the BlogCoach Community if you haven’t already and leave a comment on their “Giveaways” board by next Tuesday.
Thanks for the spotlight, Angie!

I have to give a big shout-out to Joelle at Moxie Design Studios for not only the fabulous design but for perfectly understanding (and capturing) the essence of what The Anomalous Life means to me…fun, stylish, REAL, alive…not depressing, forlorn or lonely. I may be a thirty-something single woman, but I am living and learning and having a DAMN good time doing it. Thanks, Joelle, you nailed it, rock star!

Kathy did first-class work on my web site and blog, twice! She seemed to “get” how to create images and layouts that are professional, but warm and inviting looking. She was unfailingly proactive and responsive, and worked extremely well with feedback. She designed the first website that went with our book, MarketBusters, and then managed to migrate the material and keep it updated when I decided to go with a personal site of my own. When I hear of the nightmares colleagues have had with their web sites, I’m so grateful to be working with Kathy. We’re about to complete another book, and you can bet I’ll be working with her on that.

Kathy did an AMAZING job on my site. When I started the process I wasn’t able to be very specific about what I wanted: something with blue tones. When I got her mock up, the first thing I said was, “Its so pretty!” Somehow she managed to take my vague statements and turn them into something wonderful. I would definitely recommend Moxie [Design Studios] for all your site needs! You rock, Kathy!

If you’re looking for a fully functional Web 2.0 site with all the bells ‘n whistles (i.e. CMS, email newsletter sign-up and archives, interactive blogging tools and kick-ass design), look not further than Moxie Design Studios!
I approached Joelle Reeder about overhauling FashionJunkie back in October 2006 after interviewing dozens of developers and immediately knew that Moxie Design Studios was the perfect match. Joelle understood my vision for FashionJunkie from day one - a bold, fun and fashionable site for “serial shoppers.” Instead of shrugging me off like other developers I’ve worked with in the past, Joelle held my hand every step of the way. In fact, she still makes herself available should something go awry (don’t worry, it’ been over a year since the re-launch and nothing major has happened yet!).
Thanks to Joelle’s sharp eye and unparalleled industry knowledge (trust me, the Moxie Girls are connected!), FashionJunkie.com has become a sought after fashion and beauty destination. When I’m ready to take FashionJunkie to the next level, you’d better believe I’ll be calling the Moxie Girls! That is… if they’re available.
Thanks again Joelle (and Kathy!) for turning my dream into a reality.

In December 2007, we were interviewed on Sirius Satellite Radio program, The Derek and Romaine Show. Romaine was off that night, but we were honored to be joined by the fabulous Hedda Lettuce in her stead. That was a very fun interview, dishing about blogging, Britney and our potential next book.

In Summer 2006, Kathy and Joelle were asked to participate as judges in a style contest for Movable Type, Live Journal and Typepad by the folks at Six Apart. Each had a separate interview. It was a great experience and we enjoyed getting a chance to check out some of the amazing talent out there. We were honored to be asked, so thanks, Six Apart!

We had the pleasure of being interviewed by Meghanne of AlphaWomen.com. In a bit of a silly after-work happy hour, Kathy and I happily answered her questions both honestly and humorously, if not a little candidly. Thanks for the interview, Meghanne and Alpha Women!

Once upon a time there were two innocent people who had this vague idea of an website that would host a magical and inspiring storytelling podcast for children. But they knew very little about the “guts” of a podacsting website. How would it operate? What would they need to consider? How could it be designed? What did they want it to accomplish?
As the sound of their heads beating against walls echoed throughout Northern California, Joelle cracked a seasoned smile, sipped a metaphorical martini and soothed their ears with expert knowledge EVERY TIME THEY ASKED. No question or line of questioning was ever disregarded or unexplored. Thorough? Shall we talk thorough? The woman invented thorough (you’ll see...) And by the end they had found an obi-wan mentor to rely on forever, plus they had the coolest website in the enchantment neighborhood of the web. Moral: Highest recommendation to those who want their dreams to be turned into reality by someone who is a dream to work with, for real!
