Care for a beverage? American Dream
Well, kids, it looks like I’ve been hit by the Zotob worm that’s been going around, despite my firewall, anti-virus, hokey pokey and voodoo. I’ll be offline most of today, as I will be getting a new hard drive and safely securing my precious cargo elsewhere so that I don’t jeopardize any of my data.
If you are waiting for an email from me, I assure you I will respond as soon as I am able to. I will be working diligently, intent on remaining on schedule, so I don’t think there’s any cause for concern. But I wanted to make you aware in the event you are trying to reach me or are waiting on a mock-up. It’s on it’s way shortly!
I appreciate your business and thank you so much for your patience. Have a great day!
While looking through the 800 channel’s worth of “nothing to watch” on cable, I discovered something called Current TV. The show it was playing at the time was “Google Current”, which appeared to be a sort of “in the moment” multimedia information fest. I suppose I would consider it something like CNN for the artsy-fartsy. It featured silkscreen artists and independent film, hip investigative reporting and the graphic artist who’s behind the Andre the Giant “Obey” stickers you see everywhere. It had politics and fashion, tech and internet news… I’ll admit, I was intrigued. The cable guide classified it as a “news magazine” which seems relatively accurate.
They’ve got all kinds of goodies on their site like things to customize and ways to contribute. And, of course, like any smart company (hint, hint) they’ve got a blog! If your cable provider offers Current TV, and you’re into artsy fartsy poli techie goodness, check it out! It’s definitely worth a go.
Blogs aren’t new news and “they” say the number of blogs on the Internet doubles every 5 minutes. I ran across this article this morning from an August 5th Business Journal that talks about the evolution of blogging in business and gets into greater corporate blogging detail. Here are some interesting snippets:
Blogging, which has been largely used by individuals to share their views on politics and interests in life, is gaining ground in the corporate world as a marketing and customer service tool. To date, many of the companies launching blogs have been media outlets or high-tech companies. But that’s slowly changing as more and more nontechnical companies recognize blogging’s benefits.
“This is not a new medium,” said Catalano, who’s been blogging for three years. “A blog is essentially a new Web publishing mechanism; it’s a great way to publish information without having to use special tools.”
Food for thought. Read the full article here.
Holy moly guacamole, I am busy! I’ve been graced with a few new clients that I’m very excited to work with and it looks like my availability has been pushed back. I would be unable to begin any new client requests until early November, but I’m not looking to book any jobs that far in advance. At this point in time, my schedule is closed until further notice. I believe Kathy is still accepting clients, though I know that her schedule is also filling up rapidly. If you are intested in having me design your site, I’d love to! No, really! So, please sign up for the mailing list and/or check this site for changes in my schedule.
It’s hard for me to believe we’re moving into the back end of 2005. This year has been so pivotal… for me and for Moxie. I consider myself very lucky to have one of the best jobs (and best clients) ever. Thank you!
I have some of the best clients around, truly. Not only do they have great ideas or interesting businesses or funny blogs, but they are just so fabulously patient. They’re just cool like that.
I’m Miss Multi-Task San Diego right now… everything from a mini-Monster.com to a hot n’ spicy chef to actual hot n’ spicy sauce to gambling, real estate and more! Even a complete overhaul for one of your (and our) favorite mommies.
At the tone the schedule will be… Booked. Until. October. BEEP! Yes, indeedy, kids. I’m booked solid through September and it’s started to drift into October, as well. We’ve even received a few requests to “pre-book” for the next available opening! Thank you so much. I’ll do my best!
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and staying cool!
Ok, so it's not really a magazine. It's barely even a newsletter. "Low-volume" is an understatement. We save the mailing list for the really exclusive stuff or the really BIG stuff. So, you can feel confident signing up without fear of us flooding your inbox.
But if mailing lists don't blow your dress up, you can catch us on Twitter, Facebook or subscribe to our RSS feed.
We may be bijou, but we're the cat's pajamas, so we're only able to accept a limited number of projects per season. We encourage you to submit your inquiry early.
Joelle is available for new projects in August 2012 and beyond.
Kathy is available for new projects in September 2012 and beyond.

Oops! We ran out of vacation time over the holidays and it's time to get back to our clients. This section is still in progress, but it will be finished very soon.
Most of our other sections are ready to go, though, like Services and About Us.
